James Pomeroy officiating. Interment, with the Lewis Funeral Home officiating, was at Holyoke Memorial Park. Mrs. Holstein passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 1966 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver where she had been a patient since January 30. She was 67 years of age. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Henning, Ida A. Henning was born January 21, 1899 at Kramer, Nebraska. Her early childhood was spent near Crete, Nebraska and she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in 1911. She was united in marriage to Gus Holstein at Crete, Nebraska on January 3, 1929. Two children were born to this union, both of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Holstein moved to a farm northwest of Holyoke in 1931, and resided there until moving to their new home in Holyoke in 1959. Mrs. Holstein was an active member of the Lutheran Church, Lutheran Ladies' Aid, and a card club which she greatly enjoyed. Survivors include her husband Gus of Holyoke; one son, Marvin L. Holstein of Battle Creek, Michigan; one daughter Donna, Mrs. Raymond E. Swigart of Silver City, New Mexico; one sister Mrs. Agusta Wyman of Lincoln, Nebraska; one half sister, Mrs. Hulda Flachman of Crete, Nebraska; one stepbrother Dick Meinke of Crete, Nebraska; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding Mrs. Holstein in death were her parents and one brother, Henry Henning.
