Ida had 3 brothers and two sisters. Brother Carl L Walther FAG # 140662775 Carroll Times Herald - Monday, December 6, 1943 - Coon Rapids - Mrs . Ida Lucht, 73, died Saturday afternoon at the St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, where she had been a patient since Nov. 13. Funeral services are to be at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery. The body is being returned Tuesday morning from the Coder Funeral Home to the home of Mrs Lucht's son, Robert, on the old home place about six miles north east of Coon Rapids, to rest there until the hour of the rites. Mrs. Lucht, who was preceded in death by her husband, leaves two sons and two daughters. Fri, Dec 10, 1943 - ... Burial was in the Willow cemetery. Mrs Lucht entered the hospital 3 weeks before her death but complications, due in part to her age, were more than medical skill and the best of care could overcome. Ida Augusta Walther, daughter of Mr and Mrs Fritz Walther, was born April 1, 1870 at Marienwerder, Prussia, Germany were she was baptized. At the age of 9 she came to America with her parents making their home at Bloomington, IL. On March 3d, 1889 she became the wife of Walter Lucht and to this union 7 children were born: William, Carl, Henry, Minnie, Frank, John, and Rose. The family left Illinois in 1893 and came to a farm north of Glidden where they lived until 1904 when they moved to Willow township and lived at various places near the church. For the past 33 years Mrs Lucht has made her home on the farm a half mile north of the church. After the death of her husband on March 7, 1905 she made her home with her children, staying mostly with Minnie and John. One son Frank died Feb 13, 1920. Children left to mourn her passing are William of Jackson, MN; Carl of St Paul, MN; Henry, Mrs Minnie Guritz and John of Coon Rapids; and Mrs Rose Walker of Bayard. She also leaves 23 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and two brothers: Gus Walther of Holden, IL and Carl Walther of Lidderdale.
