Description	:	The Stromsburg Headlight, Nov 25 1920 Mrs. Ida Quick, beloved and esteemed mother and friend passed away Friday evening at the home of her daughter Mrs. Robinson, near Hordville, where she was visiting. After she was taken ill she was unable to return to her home here and passed away at 10 o'clock in the evening after an illness of a week.She had been subject to attacks of illness after a serious operation 3 years ago, but had not had one for a time. Read More	The Stromsburg Headlight, Nov 25 1920 Mrs. Ida Quick, beloved and esteemed mother and friend passed away Friday evening at the home of her daughter Mrs. Robinson, near Hordville, where she was visiting. After she was taken ill she was unable to return to her home here and passed away at 10 o'clock in the evening after an illness of a week.She had been subject to attacks of illness after a serious operation 3 years ago, but had not had one for a time. All the children were present at her bedside with the exception of the 4 daughters Mrs. Calhoun, Mrs. Erickson, Mrs. DeLisle and Edna not arriving until after her death as she passed unexpectedly. The doctor had given hopes of her recovery and she was conscious until the last. She is also survived by 4 brothers: John Branting of Illinois, Gust Branting of North Platte and Otto and Oscar Branting of this county, also one sister Mrs. Julia Jordan of New York. She leaves 30 grandchildren and one great-grandson. The deceased was born in Sweden and came to America at the age of 12 years and had resided in Illinois and Nebraska since. She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church in Stromsburg and lived an upright Christian life. Her death has brought sorrow to all who knew her, and her friends were many as she made friends easily. She will be mourned by all but will be remembered as she was here on earth, an ideal friend and mother.
