Description	:	Ida C. Donaway Willards—Ida C. Donaway, age 86, of Alton, VA and formerly of Willards died Friday, May 17, 2013 at Meadowview Terrace Nursing Home in Clarksville, VA. She was born in Pittsville and was the daughter of the late William R. and Harriett R. (Baker) Bratten. She had been a seamstress for the Salisbury Manufacturing Company for many years. She was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church in Willards, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Willards Volunteer Fire Department and the Willards Sunshine Club. Donaway, age 86, of Alton, VA and formerly of Willards died Friday, May 17, 2013 at Meadowview Terrace Nursing Home in Clarksville, VA. She was born in Pittsville and was the daughter of the late William R. and Harriett R. (Baker) Bratten. She had been a seamstress for the Salisbury Manufacturing Company for many years. She was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church in Willards, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Willards Volunteer Fire Department and the Willards Sunshine Club. She is survived by her son, Chester "C.R." Donaway Jr. and his fiancée Velvet of Salisbury; two daughters, Pam Farlow of Pittsville and Lynnette Nelson and her husband Kerry of Alton, VA and Fruitland; one sister, Dorothy Warren of Berlin and six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester R. Donaway Sr. in 1999 and her three brothers, William, Alfred and Daniel Bratten. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with Rev. Carol Price officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. and burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Willards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association , P.O.
