Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Zinkula officiating. Burial will be in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery, La Motte. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Zinkula officiating. Burial will be in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery, La Motte. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 6:30 p.m. She was born Aug. 7, 1909, in the Balltown, Iowa, area, daughter of John G. and Margaret (Breitbach) Klein. She married Frank J. Muenster on Feb. 11, 1929, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Balltown; he preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1970. Together Ida and Frank farmed all their lives until Frank's death and Ida moved to Dubuque, in 1974. They raised seven children on their farm in La Motte. Ida loved to make quilts, crochet, play cards and bingo, and always had a smile on her face. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Ida looked forward to her regularly scheduled "girls day out." She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and their rosary society and a former member of St. Theresa Parish and their rosary society in La Motte. Surviving are five daughters, Margaret L. Massey, of Dubuque, Grace M. Knockel, of East Dubuque, Ill., Dorothy S. (George) Roepsch and Alice C. Muenster, both of Dubuque, and Anna P. (Louis) Roepsch, of East Dubuque; a son, Clarence F. (Jody) Muenster, of Massey Station; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine K. (Knockel) Muenster, of Dubuque; 33 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a son, Francis J. Muenster; a son-in-law, James J. Knockel; her parents; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and her brothers and sisters, Edmund P. (Susan) Klein, Laurene M. (John) Baumgartner, Christina E. (Leo) Flynn, John A. (Clara) Klein, Leo P. (Martha) Klein, Agatha (Lawrence) Manhart, Catherine (Joseph) Heiderscheit and Andrew M. (Barbara) Klein.
