Description	:	Mrs. David Hieb of Timber Lake passed away Sunday, June 24, 1979, in St Luke's hospital in Fargo, ND at the age of 67 years. She had been in poor and failing health for the past two years, and entered the Fargo hospital two weeks ago. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Timber Lake with Pastor William Russow officiating. Burial was in the Timber Lake cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Homes. Casket bearers were Vern Long, John Singer, Frank Maciejewski, Rudy kempf, Wayne Schlosser, and Joe Fisher, all of Timber Lake. Ida Dikoff Hieb was born June 15, 1912 at Calgary, Canada, the daughter of Fred and Ernestine Dikoff. Her early years were spent at her birthplace until the family moved to Zeeland, ND, where she attended grade school. She married Dave Hieb on Aug 10, 1930, at Zeeland. They made their home on a farm north of Zeeland until 1934 when they moved to a farm 16 miles north of Timber Lake. In 1951, they moved into Timber Lake where she spent her remaining years. She is survived by her husband, Dave, of Timber Lake; three daughters: Mrs. Wilfred (Irene) Stoick of Selby; Mrs. Lawrence (Leona) Cromwell of Rapid City; and Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Richter of Timber Lake; two sons: Norman and Larry both of Timber Lake. She is also survived by four sisters: Olga Chapel of Mobridge Care Center; Mrs. Christ (Maggie) Fiechtner of Ellendate, ND; Hilda Hieb of Newcastle, WY; and Mrs. Ted (Frieda) Miller of Cortez, CO; three brothers: John Dikoff of Gillette, WY; Gottfred of Medina, ND; and Fred of Onaka; 23 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, three sisters, and one grandchild.
