She was 87 years of age, and had been in frail health for a number of months. Services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Trinity Lutheran Church following prayer service in the Merten-Butler Chapel and burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. Martin Hofman officiated. OBITUARY: Mrs. Ida Siebrass, nee Zimmerman, was born April 2, 1872 in Marshall County, Ill., where she was also baptized in infancy into the Christian faith. She was the daughter of Phillip Zimmerman and Mathilda, nee Kaforke, with whom she came to Nebraska at the age of five and made her home in the Blue Hill Community. The family joined Trinity Lutheran Church, and in this church the deceased received her instruction in the Christian teachings and was received into the communicant membership of her church in 1886 in the rite of Confirmation. On October 14, 1891 she was united in marriage with John P. Siebrass and until 1927 made her home southwest of Blue Hill. This home was blessed with two sons and two daughters, all of whom survive to mourn the death of their mother. In the year 1927 the departed and her husband retired from farm life and moved to Blue Hill, where she maintained her home for the remainder of her life. March 20, 1938 death took her loving husband from her side. As before, so also during her long widowhood of nearly 22 years, the deceased lived a life marked by personal piety and by active interest in her church. She passed away January 1 at 6:30 in the evening in her home at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 29 days. Her death is mourned by her four children: Mrs. Flora Kort of Hastings, Fred Siebrass of Blue Hill, Oscar Siebrass of Omaha and Mrs. Minnie Seeman of Blue Hill. Among the survivors are also 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three brothers: Phillip Zimmerman of Varna, Ill., John Zimmerman of Blue Hill and Otto Zimmerman of Hastings, and three sisters: Mrs. Lena Clatte of Hastings, Mrs. Bertha Saller of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Clara Van Boening of Blue Hill.
