She was born on October 30, 1922 in Morgan Township the daughter of Louis and Pauline (Reinhardt) Jurkowitz. She attended Scott School and graduated from Harrison High School. She married Jerome Rosenberger on February 2, 1943 at St. Aloysius Church in Shandon and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Read More	ROSENBERGER, Ida Frances age 89 of Shandon, Ohio passed away March 14, 2012 at Golden Years Nursing Center in Hamilton. She was born on October 30, 1922 in Morgan Township the daughter of Louis and Pauline (Reinhardt) Jurkowitz. She attended Scott School and graduated from Harrison High School. She married Jerome Rosenberger on February 2, 1943 at St. Aloysius Church in Shandon and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Ida was a life long member of St. Aloysius Church where in her younger years she played the organ. She was past president of the Alter Rosary Society and active in the Bereavement Committee and Church Council, She was involved in the Morgan Township and the Crosby Township Historical Societies where she wrote an article for Crosby Township about Fort Scott where she lived on the farm next to the camp for 22 years growing up as a child. She was active and past president of the Ross Twp. Senior Citizens and a member of the Hamilton Senior Citizens. Ida was employed at Ross High School in the cafeteria as a cashier for 12 years. She took part in the saving of the name of Ross High School with a petition of over 800 signatures. She then became a Dorm Manager at Miami University for six years before transferring to King Library as a Processing Manager in the Catalog Dept., retiring in 1988. Ida was a very active person taking part in family functions, loving to sew and being there when someone needed help. She is survived by a very loving and caring friend, Jim Verssen. She met Jim in 1998 and since that time they have enjoyed traveling, have been great companions for each other and have enjoyed attending family functions together. She is also survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Ron) Pflum, Carolyn (Francis) Bihr, and Geraldine (James) Schick; seven grandchildren, Marcia (Dan) Arno, Teresa (Danny) Pate, Emily Pflum, David Bihr, and Lori (Jon) Dunkelberger, Richard Schick; and Tina (Kerry) Miller; six great grandchildren who were the apple of her eye, Zachary, Nicholas, Samantha, Victoria Ida, Alexandra, and Shelby; one sister, Pauline Jurkowitz; one brother-in-law Ardwin Hoog; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome Rosenberger, her parents Louis and Pauline Jurkowitz, and two brothers Louis and Joe Jurkowitz. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road on Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius Church in Shandon on Monday at 10 a.m. with burial following in New London Cemetery in Shandon. If desired memorials may be made to the Morgan or Crosby Historical Societies, the Alzheimer's Association , or Evercare Hospice.
