Ida was the daughter of Anton Heckman & Henrica Wichmann. Ida came to the United States in 1930 after her marriage April 24, 1930 to Frank Nietfeld at Bakum in Oldenburg, Germany. They farmed near Herkimer, later moved in 1936 five miles southeast of Marysville , and in 1966 she moved to Marysville. They were the parents of one son & 4 daughters. Ida came to the United States in 1930 after her marriage April 24, 1930 to Frank Nietfeld at Bakum in Oldenburg, Germany. They farmed near Herkimer, later moved in 1936 five miles southeast of Marysville , and in 1966 she moved to Marysville. They were the parents of one son & 4 daughters. Ida became a citizen of the United States in 1953. Ida belonged to St. Gregory's Church & the Alter Society. Preceding her in death were her husband Frank, on Oct. 6, 1949, her parents, a son Leo on Dec. 8, 1972, & brothers Anton,sisters Emma, Angela, Walda, & half sister Sophie. Survivors are her daughters Mary Wetter, Walda Nietfeld, Paula Holle all of Marysville & Hedwig Goeckel, Hanover daughter in law Teresa Bussmann: 24 grandchildren, 25 greatgrandchildren, Three sisters Marie Herzog, Santa Cruz, Brazil, Sister Marie Henrica (Paula) Heckmann, Vechta, Germany, & Leni Albers, Bieste, Germany. Pallbearers were Phillip Holle, Greg & Charles Goeckel, Frank & Tony Nietfeld, Mark, Jim, Mike Wetter. Mary Ann Bower sang "AveMaria and Our Father." The choir sang "Holy God We Praise Thy Name." Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 9 from St. Gregory's Catholic Church. Rosary was recited at 7:30p.m. Tuesdayat St. Gregory's. Rev. George Bertels & the Rev. Joe Miller officiated. Burial was in St. Gregory's Cemetery with arrangements by Kinsley Mortuary. A memorial fund has been established and may be left at the mortuary.
