Description	:	Daily Times - Tuesday - September 28, 1943 Mrs. Ida Plett, a life resident of Muscatine and Scott counties, and a resident of Blue Grass for 60 years, died at 10 p.m. Monday at Mercy Hospital, as a result of a fall Sept. 23, which fractured her hip. Mrs. Plett was born Sept. 23, 1858, in Muscatine county, two miles west of Blue Grass, the daughter of Gottlieb and Johanna Ehrecke. She was educated in the rural schools of Scott county. Read More	Daily Times - Tuesday - September 28, 1943 Mrs. Ida Plett, a life resident of Muscatine and Scott counties, and a resident of Blue Grass for 60 years, died at 10 p.m. Monday at Mercy Hospital, as a result of a fall Sept. 23, which fractured her hip. Mrs. Plett was born Sept. 23, 1858, in Muscatine county, two miles west of Blue Grass, the daughter of Gottlieb and Johanna Ehrecke. She was educated in the rural schools of Scott county. She was married to Henry Plett in 1878 in Muscatine county, and he preceded her in death May 9, 1911. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mathilda Plett at home and Mrs. L.H. Johnson of Blue Grass; two sons, Edward G. Plett of Muscatine and Ernest F., of Stockton; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Ahrens of Davenport, and five grandchildren. A son, R.H. Plett died Feb. 14, 1942. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Runge chapel. Burial will be in Blue Grass cemetery.
