Description	:	Ida (Lorenzen) Evers (1882 - 1977) Ida Evers was born on Oct. 24, 1882 at Goodrich Township in Crawford County, the daughter of Johanna and Andreas Lorenzen. She died on Monday, June 6, 1977 at Minneapolis, Minn. at the age of 94. As a young girl she was raised in Crawford County and received her education in the Denison schools. After the... Read More	Ida (Lorenzen) Evers (1882 - 1977) Ida Evers was born on Oct. 24, 1882 at Goodrich Township in Crawford County, the daughter of Johanna and Andreas Lorenzen. She died on Monday, June 6, 1977 at Minneapolis, Minn. at the age of 94. As a young girl she was raised in Crawford County and received her education in the Denison schools. At the completion of her education she worked for her father in the County Treasurer's office. On Jan. 8, 1902 Ida was united in marriage to Louie Evers. To this union were blessed six children. After the death of her husband Louie in 1941, she resided with her children until October 1975 when due to health she entered the Fridley Convalescent Home. She continued to live there until her death. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ida was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy and one son, Louie. Survivors include three daughters, Ida, Mrs. Carl Johnson of Columbia Heights, Minn., Marie, Mrs. Horace Westcott of Burnsville, Minn. and Ellen, Mrs. Robert Guthrie of Charlotte, N.C. and one son, Loren C. Evers of Los Angeles, Calif. Also by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and one brother, Andrew Lorenzen of Long Beach, Calif. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 9, at 1:00 p.m. at the Huebner Funeral Home, Denison. Burial was made in the Oakland Cemetery. The Rev. Byron Surface officiated at the services.
