Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church, with Dr. Charles Klink officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Northside Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was born April 21, 1929, in Martinsburg, Neb., the daughter of Walter and Hattie Bauman. She was raised in Ponca, Neb. and graduated from Ponca High School in 1948. She married Le Roy E. Johnson on June 18, 1950, in Martinsburg. The couple moved to Sioux City. She was employed at her parents' cream station in Ponca. She then was employed as a production line worker for The Battery Factory and with Weller Fishing Tackle Company. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Senior Citizens Center and the Quilting Club. She enjoyed sewing, camping and gardening. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Rosann Smith and Julie and her husband William Barbee, all of Sioux City; three sons, John of Dakota City, Walter and his wife Lori and Corey, all of Sioux City; her mother of South Sioux City; two brothers, Maurice of San Diego, Calif. and Jerome of Sioux City; a sister, Beaulah Schoon of Emmetsberg, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, and three brothers, Albert, Marvin and Jay Bauman. Pallbearers will be Rick Taylor, Darrell and Dennis Lunquist, Harold Hanson, Richard Olander and Mike Nowlen.
