Description	:	Ida May Parson was born in Wisconsin, January 28, 1870, and passed away at the home of her daughter in Des Moines, Iowa, Nov. 25, 1940. She migrated to Iowa while still a child. Here, in the year of 1895 she was married to Charles Wm. Shanks. To that union her only two children were born. Her second husband, Mr. Parson, passed away about 15 years ago. She leaves to cherish her memory: Mrs. Olive May Buck of Des Moines, and Mrs. Leona Hilligas of Brooklyn, Iowa. Also one brother, L. G. Razey, of Kansas City, Mo., and five grandchildren.... During the past 20 years Des Moines has been her place of residence. Of these years she has given 13 in the employment of The White Star Laundry. While living near Brooklyn, she was an active member of the Church of Christ. Her faith was in Christ and much of her life was given to helping others.
