Read More	The Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, Iowa March 20, 1919, Page 4 Ida Wilkinson Miler Ida May Wilkinson was born May 26, 1883, on a farm near Liberty, Clarke county, Iowa. Here with her parents, brothers and sister she spent the happy days of her childhood. On February 10, 1909, she was united in marriage to W. A. Miler. To this union two children were born-a girl and a boy, both dying at birth, the little boy preceeding his mother just seventeen days. On March 9th paralysis laid its heavy hand on Ida leaving her powerless to speak to her loved ones, but on Wednesday the 12th, she seemed to rally, recognizing all who came in until about 6 p. m. when she suffered the second attack, it leaving her entirely unconscious, remaining in this condition until she passed away on March 15, 1919, being 35 years, 9 months and 17 days of age. At the age of 16 years, Ida was converted at Center church, Liberty twonship, always continuing in the faith but on account of poor health, was not baptized until after moving into their present home south of Woodburn, when she and her husband were baptized and joined the M. E. church of Woodburn. Since coming to this community her loving cheerful disposition has one her many friends by whom she will be greatly missed. She was an active member of the neighborhood club who feel they have a most valuable member. Being denied children of their own Mr. and Mrs. Miler adopted Fern Avis Miler, May 11, 1917. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, little Fern, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wilkinson of Woodburn, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Louie McKinney of Grays River, Washington, five brothers, Pearl of Van Wert, Iowa, Frank and Loyd of Estherville, Iowa, Luther of Liberty, Iowa, and Paul who is with the American Expeditionary Forces at De Mange, France, all being present except Paul and the sister who was unable to come on account of sickness in her own family. The funeral services were conducted at the Woodburn M. E. church on Monday, March 17th, by Rev. E. W. Curtis of Chariton, Iowa, assisted by Rev. V. W. Henderson and Rev. McCannon. Owing to the very bad condition of the roads interment was not until the following day at Bethel Chapel.Among those from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. James Miler, Mr. and Mrs. Will Kerns, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mason, Mrs. J. A. Paschall, Mrs. A. R. Mitchell, Orin Miler and Mrs. Robert McQuern and son, Floyd,, also Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Wilkinson of Leslie.
