She was conscious almost up to the end. Ida Olive Clark was born in Clinton County, Iowa, on April 7, 1859. She moved with her parents to Lucas County, Iowa, while still a very small child, and here the family made their home for about five years, returning then to Clinton. The family came to Sac County, Iowa, in 1894, and this has since been their home, Miss Clark was 70 years, 6 months and 28 days of age when called to her reward. Her life has been one of long and faithful devotion to duty. Numberless homes have known the comfort of her presence in times of stress and sorrow, and her hands were constantly employed in the doing of kindly deeds. Her thought was always for others rather than for herself. Even during the time of her last illness, she expressed concern lest those about her bedside might become weary while caring for her. She was a member of the Lake View Methodist Church, and a faithful, consistent Christian woman, delighting in attending services so long as her health permitted. When she was about fifteen years of age, her mother passed away; and her father, F.H. Clark, postmaster of Lake View for a number of years, died in 1920. Since that year, she has made her home with her stepmother, Mrs. Lettie A. Clark, who survives her, as does also one brother, R. G. Clark, of Lake View, and two nephews, D.C. and J.W. Butler, of Oklahoma. Many more distant relatives and numerous friends mourn the passing of this good woman. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:30 o'clock from the Methodist Church, with Rev. J.E. Feller officiating. Interment will be in Wall Lake Cemetery. The hymns, "Sweet Bye and Bye", "Nearer, My God to Thee" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" will be sung by a mixed quartette, composed of Mrs. E.C. Frandson, Mrs. Fred Wells, W.F. Brower and George Irwin. Mrs. Bert Buihner will be the pianist. The Lake View Resort - 11/7/1929
