The daughter of the Late George and Maria (Keit) Feinauer was born on January 11, 1912 in Monitor Township and has resided in this area all her life. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith. Ida enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers, gardening and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by five children: Hilda Ponichtera, Marie Piotrowski, Roy Knoerr, Ruth (Chuck) Adamek and Gil Knoerr; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Edna Hahn and many nieces and... The daughter of the Late George and Maria (Keit) Feinauer was born on January 11, 1912 in Monitor Township and has resided in this area all her life. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith. Ida enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers, gardening and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by five children: Hilda Ponichtera, Marie Piotrowski, Roy Knoerr, Ruth (Chuck) Adamek and Gil Knoerr; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Edna Hahn and many nieces and nephews. On May 21, 1933 she married Walter Knoerr and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was also predeceased by her infant son, Lyman Knoerr; one daughter and two sons-in-law: Norma and Fred Schulz, Gene Piotrowski; her daughter-in-law, Jackie Knoerr; one grandson, Danny Schulz; great grandson, Thomas Marx II; three brothers: Michael, Adolph and Richard Feinauer; three sisters: Mary Appold, Alma Pfund and Rosina Feinauer and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Esther Dill, Arlene Murin, Selma Kipfmiller, Martin Knoerr and Wilmar Knoerr. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church of Amelith. Officiating will be Rev. Stephen P. Starke with private interment in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Knoerr will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. John' Lutheran School of Amelith or the donors favorite charity will be available at the funeral home.
