Description	:	Retired Music Teacher Dies At Alger Home Miss Ida Sellick, 77, of 253 S. Pine-st, retired piano teacher of Ada and Alger, died in the home of her cousin, Mrs. Elva Bixler, Sunday. Miss Sellick had made her home with her cousin the last year. Miss Sellick attracted attention in musical circles when she became a teacher at 15 at Lattie, Paulding-co, her birthplace. She had taken lessons from her mother, also an accomplished pianist, and later received music degrees, in 1901 and 1904, at Ohio Northern university. Miss Sellick attracted attention in musical circles when she became a teacher at 15 at Lattie, Paulding-co, her birthplace. She had taken lessons from her mother, also an accomplished pianist, and later received music degrees, in 1901 and 1904, at Ohio Northern university. After attending the Cincinnati College of Music, Miss Sellick declined offers of several colleges to begin a career of high school teaching that included more than a decade at each of four schools - Harrod, Ada, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Alger. She retired 10 years ago due to ill health. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge, the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine, and Rebekah lodge. She also was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. The body will remain at the Hanson funeral home, Alger for services at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Milton Leidig will conduct the ceremony.
