She died at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa on Friday, September 27, 2019. Jean, as she was known, grew up in Lamoni, Iowa and attended school through the eighth grade. Read More	Imogean Twyla Gray, age 94, of Van Wert, Iowa, was born April 23, 1925, to John Floyd and Esther Belle (Edgington) Argabright. She died at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa on Friday, September 27, 2019. Jean, as she was known, grew up in Lamoni, Iowa and attended school through the eighth grade. She was married on January 21, 1942, at the age of 17, in Bethany, Missouri to Newton Morgan Gray. They were blessed with three children, Connie, Newton Junior, and Twyla Ann. The couple lived in Decatur County, Iowa, starting out their married life living around Lamoni before moving to the farm near Davis City. The rest of the family stayed at Lamoni while Newton served in the Army Air Corp for a short time. In the early 1970's they moved to Weldon, Iowa. In 1989, Newton, Jean, and Ann moved to Van Wert, Iowa. Jean was a wife, mother, and homemaker for her family. She always raised a large garden and canned the fruits of her labor. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Newton on October 12, 2009; son, Junior in 1968; great grandson, Jacob Miller; and her siblings, Melba Swigart, Verle Argabright, Johnny Argabright and Gretchen Hagen. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Connie and Gareth Deemer of Weldon and Ann Gray of Van Wert; three grandchildren, Duane Deemer of Crossville, Tennessee, Darla Miller of Odell, Nebraska, and Carla Deemer of Ankeny, Iowa; great grandchildren, Logan & Megan Deemer of DeSoto, Iowa, Talon & Hagit Deemer of Yardley, Pennsylvania, Kristina Miller and Adam Miller, both of San Diego, California; great, great grandchildren, Tayden and Ayla Deemer and twins, Carson and Sophia and Hadley Deemer; sister, Shirley Gross of Ponca City, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
