Description	:	TANNER, Ina Madeline — It is with much sadness the family of Ina Madeline Tanner, 82, announces her passing on Monday, October 29, 2012, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Blue Rocks, Ina was a daughter of the late Currie and Lena (Tanner) Weaver. Mom and Dad were married for 62 years and she still loved my dad as the first day she married him. Read More	TANNER, Ina Madeline — It is with much sadness the family of Ina Madeline Tanner, 82, announces her passing on Monday, October 29, 2012, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Blue Rocks, Ina was a daughter of the late Currie and Lena (Tanner) Weaver. Mom and Dad were married for 62 years and she still loved my dad as the first day she married him. Mom enjoyed staying home looking after us kids and grandchildren. Mom would bake lots of goodies for us and our friends. Mom was never a complainer, she took life as it came, even the death of her sons, Brian and Dale. During her battle with cancer, Mom never complained to any of u... s. She would always say to me, I'm not scared, the end is soon here and there's nothing, I can do to change it. My mom was one of the strongest women I've ever known. If I take half as much after her, I've got it made. I am so proud to say she was and always will be my mom. Love and dearly miss you always, Pam. Ina was a faithful member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blue Rocks. She is survived by her husband, Nelson; daughter, Pamela (Vincent Corkum) Brake, Back Centre; son, Jerome (Heather Peeler), New Germany; sisters, Joanne (Mervyn) Shauffenburg, Back Centre; Helen Greek, Lunenburg; brother, Rockwell (Rose) Weaver, Lunenburg; brother-in-law, Paul Allen, Lunenburg and grandchildren, Alex Brake, Victoria Tanner, Craig Tanner and Lisa Mae Tanner. She was predeceased by sons, Brian and Dale; sister, Charlotte Allen; brothers, Donnie, Gordon and brother, David in infancy. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. 3, Lunenburg where friends are invited to share their memories of Ina with her family during visitation today, Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and where funeral service to celebrate Ina's life will be held Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. Jane Reid officiating. Interment will be in Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery, Blue Rocks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Barnabas Anglican Church or to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
