Description	:	Inda Mary Mosby, age 93, of Miles City, formerly of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City. Inda was born March 7, 1918, at the family home near Mecaha, on the lower Musselshell River, to Mary and Dugal Marks. Read More	Inda Mary Mosby, age 93, of Miles City, formerly of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City. Inda was born March 7, 1918, at the family home near Mecaha, on the lower Musselshell River, to Mary and Dugal Marks. As the third of 12 children in the Marks family, Inda spent much of her time helping to raise her younger siblings. One of her earlier childhood memories was taking turns with her sister Liz, baking 10 loaves of bread a day for the family. Inda's education was completed at the Mecaha School. In the midst of all her duties, Inda did find time to attend country dances, which she loved, many of which she could attend only by riding horseback many miles with her brothers and friends. It was at one of these dances that she met Everett Mosby, whom she would eventually marry. From 1938 to 1941, Inda worked as post mistress at the Mecaha post office, a job she enjoyed. On Dec. 15, 1941, Inda was united in marriage to Everett in Billings. They worked for several local ranches before purchasing the family ranch near Mosby in 1949, where their three children were raised and where they worked side by side until moving to Lewistown in 1974. After Everett's retirement from Fergus County in 1980, they enjoyed traveling and camping, working around their home and spending time with their family. In October 1997, Everett passed away, and Inda lived on in Lewistown for several years until moving to Miles City to be closer to family, where she remained until the time of her death. Inda was an excellent housekeeper who enjoyed design and color, even when the rest of her family couldn't distinguish between the subtle shades of off-white that she insisted were different. Flowers, especially roses, and birds brought her joy and she shared their beauty with anybody who came to her corner of the world. Ever competitive, Inda enjoyed playing cards and games with her grandchildren, and liked nothing better than to debate politics and world affairs over a good cup of coffee. She never stopped learning and growing, a lifelong reader and interested in the world around her. Her family still talks about what a good cook she was! Inda is survived by her son, Marvin (Betty) Mosby of Winnett; two daughters, Donna Dutton of Miles City, and Arlene (Dick) O'Connor of Brusett; her sister, Dorothy Weingart of British Columbia; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Everett, and 10 brothers and sisters: George, Elizabeth Kettle, Dugal, Ed, Kern, Albert, Jack, Pete, Agnes Bierley and Bob. Inda's family would like to thank Holy Rosary Extended Care staff for their kind and loving attention to her needs during her stay there. Visitation was on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at Cloyd Funeral Home in Lewistown. Interment followed in the family lot of the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lewistown. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City was in charge of the arrangements.
