Description	:	Inez I. Hartter, 90, of Fairview, died early Thursday morning, November 13, 2008, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, where she had been a resident since December 2004. Inez was born at Fairview, February 24, 1918, the only child born to Harvey and Beatrice Isley Rieger and was a lifelong Fairview resident. Hartter, 90, of Fairview, died early Thursday morning, November 13, 2008, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, where she had been a resident since December 2004. Inez was born at Fairview, February 24, 1918, the only child born to Harvey and Beatrice Isley Rieger and was a lifelong Fairview resident. She grew up at Fairview where she attended schools, prior to graduating with the class of 1936 at Fairview High School. In the 1960's, she started work at the Brown County Infirmary until it closed. She later retired as head baker for USD #441, of Sabetha where she worked for 26 years. Mrs. Hartter was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ of Fairview, and the Ladies Guild of the Church. Inez was also a member of the Bluebird Club; the American Legion Women's Auxiliary; and BPW (Business and Professional Women's Club) of Sabetha. Some of her hobbies include baking, making crafts, quilting, and embroidery. She was married to Wilbur Hartter, July 29, 1941, at Hiawatha. He died December 31, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grand-daughter Alexis Meeks. Survivors include four sons Kenneth (Norma) Hartter of Topeka, Harvey (JoAnn) Hartter of Fairview, Lynn (Peggy) Hartter of Sabetha, Charles Hartter of Fairview; four daughters Teresa (Don) Schuyler of Holton, Marilyn (Carl) Blevins of Fairview, Carolyn (Gary) Gilbert Fairview, Renee (Norman) Schmitt of Sabetha; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 17, at United Church of Christ in Fairview. Pastor Shane Spangler will officiate. Interment will follow at Isley Cemetery, northwest of Fairview. Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha after 10 a.m. Sunday where the family will meet from 6:30 until 8 that evening Memorial contributions are suggested to the Church Memorial Fund; Apostolic Christian Home; Nemaha County Hospice all which may be sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St., Hiawatha 66434.
