Hannah, 17, well known Chico woman, died at her home on Shoshone avenue, Chico Vecino, at 12:30 o’clock this morning. The deceased was a native of Chico. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, D.A. Hannah, Jr.; her mother Mrs. Edna Harris; a brother, Oscar Harris; and a sister, Mrs. Eva Hess, all of Chico. Funeral arrangements, which will be under the direction of the Westfall undertaking parlors have not yet been completed. ~~~ The Chico Record, Saturday Morning, May 5, 1923, pg 1 col 1: Funeral Services for Mrs. Inez Hannah to Be Held. The funeral services for Mrs. Inez Hannah, whose death Tuesday came as a shock to her many friends, will be held from the residence of Mrs. Bert Holm, at Shoshone avenue and Eleventh avenue, Chico Vecino, this afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Galen Lee Rose will officiate. Pall bearers have been chosen from the Fraternal Brethren and the Modern Woodmen. They are as follows: Elmer Overton, Henry Umsted, Edward Campbell, Lester Rea, O.R. Stephenson, and Ammon Hines. Interment will be made in the Chico cemetery under the direction of Westfall undertaking parlors. ~~~ The Chico Record, Sunday Morning, May 6, 1923, pg 1 col 4: Funeral Services Are Held For the Late Mrs. Hannah. Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Hannah, 17, were held at 2:30 yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Bert Holm, sister of the deceased, at Eleventh and Shoshone Avenues. Rev. Galen Lee Rose, pastor of the Christian church delivered the funeral message. Many floral offerings attested to the wide friendship enjoyed by the deceased. Services were held at the grave in the Chico cemetery under the auspices of the Pocahontas lodge. The services were arranged by the Westfall parlors. Pallbearers, selected from the Modern Woodmen and Fraternal Brotherhood lodges, were: Elmer Overton, Henry Umsted, Edward Campbell, Lester Rea, O.R. Stephenson and Ammon Hines.
