Description	:	Mrs. O. D. Preston and infant child passed from this life, Thursday, September 12, 1918. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the M. E. Church, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. A. Moore. Interment was made in the First Baptist Cemetery beside Wilma Lucile, an infant daughter, who had preceded her mother in death, passing away when about four months old. Interment was made in the First Baptist Cemetery beside Wilma Lucile, an infant daughter, who had preceded her mother in death, passing away when about four months old. Ellen Grace Richards was born in Lincoln Township, March 6, 1888, being aged 30 years, 6 months, and 5 days at the time of her demise. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Richards of Corning and grew to womanhood in Adams County. She graduated from the Corning High School in the class of 1906 and was a successful teacher for a time. On the 14th day of February, 1913, she became the wife of O. D. Preston. Beside her husband, Mrs. Preston leaves two little children, Wilbur Wayne, aged four years and Eleanor May, aged one year, also her parents and the following brothers and sisters, Walter H. Richards and Mrs. George Farris, residing in Adams County, Mrs. Clarence Asman of Des Moines; Homer O. Richards, Camp Dodge, Mrs. Earl Palmer, near Iveyville, and Burton and Miss Gladys, residing at the home. Mrs. Preston was a member of the Methodist Church and a faithful Christian lady.
