Description	:	INGA EKEMO was born on May 20, 1914 in Perkins County, near Cole, SD at home to John and Ingeborg (Myking) Ekemo. She was the seventh and last child born to them. Inga attended a local grade school and Hettinger High School. On November 24, 1937, she was united in marriage to Maxwell Archibald at the Ellingson parsonage near Lodgepole, SD. They farmed, ranched and raised their four children in Barrett Township until Max's sudden death on October 4, 1968. Inga always enjoyed her years on the farm and raising a big garden for her family. Inga moved into Hettinger, ND in August of 1969 and began working at the Hillcrest Care Center as a Nurses Aide. She worked there full time for about 27 years, retiring at the age of 82. She loved her job and gave each and every resident a lot of tender, loving care. In her spare time she enjoyed walking and eating downtown with her friends. For the past two years her health began to fail and she recently entered the nursing home. Inga passed away at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger, ND on Sunday, April 15, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Those keeping her close to their hearts are her children, Maxine and Roger Rosenow, Reeder, ND, Norma and John Stroklund, Larry and Kathy Archibald and Betty and Larry Schmidt, all of Hettinger, ND. She is also survived by her sister, Bergetta Lysne, of Belle Fourche, SD, sister-in-law, Tillie Ekemo, of Lemmon, SD, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Max, three sisters, Jennie Falde, Alma Lysne and Sophia Archibald, two brothers, Joseph Ekemo and Ingvold Ekemo as an infant and one great-grandson, Max Daniel Archibald. Service of Remembrance for Inga Archibald, 92, of Hettinger, ND will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Hettinger Lutheran Church in Hettinger. Rev. Kathleen Dettmann will officiate and burial will follow at the Hettinger Cemetery.
