Ingeborg "Inge" Runge, 67, of Columbus, formerly of Idaho, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at her home in Columbus.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at St. John's Lutheran Church Shell Creek, rural Columbus, with Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Columbus.
There will be no visitation.
Inge was born on May 11, 1943, in Sterzhausen, Germany, to Franz and Margarethe (Ruebling) Rosser. She attended school in Germany. She met Arlo Runge who was serving in the US Military in Germany. Inge moved to Columbus and married Arlo on Sept....

Inge was born on May 11, 1943, in Sterzhausen, Germany, to Franz and Margarethe (Ruebling) Rosser. She attended school in Germany. She met Arlo Runge who was serving in the US Military in Germany. Inge moved to Columbus and married Arlo on Sept. 28, 1963, at St John's Lutheran Church Shell Creek. They lived in the Columbus area until Arlo's railroad job took them to Chappell, then to Oregon and Idaho. She became a jeweler, and she managed several Fred Meyer Jewelry stores in Idaho.
Inge was an avid gardener and also enjoyed spending time in the mountains. She traveled back to Germany several times, and most recently attended the 50th anniversary of her confirmation class in Germany. She was a graceful and dignified woman who loved her family and grandchildren. She was always very proud of the fact that she studied for and received her U. S. Citizenship.
Inge is survived by her daughter, Bettina Runge, of Columbus; grandchildren, Brandon (Chelsey) Sathre, of Omaha, and Steffan Sullivan, of Lincoln; son, Timothy Runge, of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren, Jonathon Runge, of Nampa, Idaho, and MariaVictoria Runge, of Nampa, Idaho; son, LaTroy Runge, of Oakland; grandchildren, Marquise Brown of Enterprise, Ore., Kaytlan Runge, of Oakland, Derrik Runge, of Oakland, Tanner Runge, of Oakland, and Zakari Runge, of Oakland; two great-grandchildren, Camri Sathre and Tegan Brown; sister, Heidrun Jehnen, of Germany; brother, Bernhard Ruebling, of Germany; and numerous nieces and nephews in both the United States and Germany.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Margarethe Rosser; husband, Arlo Runge; brothers, Herman and Heinz Rosser.
