Description	:	Mrs. Gerald Ickler Passes Away Saturday Funeral services were conducted Monday for Mrs. Gerald Ickler of Walnut who passed away at her home Saturday, Mar. 29. The Rev. Walter Millet of Orchard and the Rev. H.F. Beebe of Creighton Methodist church officiated at the rites which were conducted in the local Methodist church. Pallbearers were Delbert Boelter, Ernest Boelter, Alder Mitteis, Alfred Marshall, Cecil Moser and Art Moser. Ione Delores Ickler, daughter of Baron O. and Abbie E. Darr, was born on a farm 10 miles west of Creighton March 15, 1912. After spending her early childhood at the place of her birth she moved with her parents to a farm in the Venus community where she lived until her marriage. She taught school in that vicinity for a number of years, both before and after her marriage. On August 14, 1935 she was united in marriage to Gerald Ickler. They made their home on a farm in the Venus community the first three years and then moved to the Walnut community, spending the past 12 years on the farm that now is their home. Mrs. Ickler experienced serious illness at various time in her life and in the fall of 1951 was afflicted with an illness that eventually proved fatal. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baron Darr; one sister, Mrs. Nola (Bill) Rogers; two brothers, Philip Darr of Venus and Keith Darr of Norfolk; one niece and one nephew.
