She passed away January 3, 1910 in Haverhill, Essex Co., MA. Her death notice in the Vermont Phoenix, January 7, 1910, indicated her remains were brought back for burial from MA, and there is a memorial for her in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Hinsdale, Cheshire County, NH, about 8 miles from Brattleboro. Susie was born on August 23, 1889 and was the daughter of Henry M. & Lizzie Pitts McClure. She was the mother of three sons: Elias Whitcomb Hyde (1913-1981), William H. Hyde, and Ira Clark Hyde, Jr. Susie died October 16, 1918 in Fair Haven, VT of pneumonia. As of today, her burial location is not confirmed; it is likely it is in Poultney Cemetery as her obit said her remains were being returned to that town for the funeral. His third wife was Frances Draper Hyde. They married sometime between the 1920 and the 1930 Census. Frances survived Ira, and passed away on March 12, 1977 in Fair Haven, Rutland Co., VT. She is buried near her mother in Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton, Oswego Co., NY. Mr. Hyde operated a garage business in Fair Haven and Poultney for several years. He was survived by his wife and three sons; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Vaughn of Poultney and Mrs. Alice Sharp of Fredricks, MD; nieces and nephews. Funeral services: Sunday, August 13, 1950, Durfee Funeral Home, Fair Haven, conducted by Rev. Ellen Van Buskirk, pastor of the Methodist Church. Burial: Poultney Pallbearers: Elmer Angevine, James Fitzpatrick, Robert Whitcomb and Pliney Whitcomb, all of Fair Haven, and Fred McLaughlin of Poultney.
