Description	:	Ira Edward Foster was born on the Anderson homestead two and one half miles west of Seward, on March 17, 1881, and died December 12, 1918, aged 37 years, 8 months and 25 days. He moved to town with the family in 1883 where he lived until 1904, at which time he went to Boyd county, Nebraska where he married Miss Blanche Williams on December 12, 1906. Read More	Ira Edward Foster was born on the Anderson homestead two and one half miles west of Seward, on March 17, 1881, and died December 12, 1918, aged 37 years, 8 months and 25 days. He moved to town with the family in 1883 where he lived until 1904, at which time he went to Boyd county, Nebraska where he married Miss Blanche Williams on December 12, 1906. To this union were born three children, Mary, age 11, William, age 8, and Ola who died in infancy. It was while he was there that his father Lewis T. Foster passed away in 1907. In 1908 he went to Quinn, South Dakota, where he took a homestead. He stayed there two years and returned to Seward in 1922 and has worked as a painter until his death. August 10, 1912, his wife was called to her home above and on August 24 she was followed by Ola, her infant child. In October of this year he drove to Boyd county to husk corn and returned Saturday, November 30, and was taken down with Spanish influenza on the following Tuesday. He leaves to mourn his absence besides his two children, his mother, four brothers, Elmer, Allison, Clem and Charlie, and two sisters, Lettie and Lizzie, and a host of friends. Charlie is absent from the home in the service of Uncle Sam in France, with the Thirty-Fourth Division. Funeral services were held at the home of his mother in Seward, Saturday afternoon, December 14, conducted by Bert L. Story of the Methodist church.
