Death was due to a complication of diseases resulting from old age. Ira T. Waggoner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amon Waggoner, was born Jan. 8, 1856 near Monterey, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Ida E. Barnes, Nov. 28, 1875. To this union five children were born. His wife passed away April 21, 1925, also one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Peden, and an infant daughter, Tamea preceded him in death. Death was due to a complication of diseases resulting from old age. Ira T. Waggoner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amon Waggoner, was born Jan. 8, 1856 near Monterey, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Ida E. Barnes, Nov. 28, 1875. To this union five children were born. His wife passed away April 21, 1925, also one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Peden, and an infant daughter, Tamea preceded him in death. Mr. Waggoner departed this life Nov. 26, 1948 at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 18 days. He was taken to the St. Joseph's hospital in Centerville, where he received the best of medical care, as well as at the Clarence Wood home where he resided the past four years. He spent the greater part of his life on a farm near Monterey, and was a member of the Fairview Baptist church. He leaves to mourn his passing, three children, Jesse Waggoner, Mrs. Zena Parker, of Bloomfield, Ia., and Mrs. Eliza Corporan, of Fairfield, Ia. Fifteen grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild besides a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Eagle Funeral Home in Moulton with burial in the Bethel cemetery. Rev. Luther Childs, of Centerville, conducted the services.
