Description	:	Andrews, SC A collision between an automobile and a pickup truck in Andrews killed three persons on Wednesday, January 26, 1955. George Walter Payne, 18, and Reid Irby Saxon, 19, died soon after arrival at Georgetown County Memorial Hospital. Sollie Lambert, 65, died at the hospital later. Jesse Flowers of Andrews was driving the car in which Payne and Saxon were passengers. Mr. Lambert was driving the truck. He attended the schools of Andrews, had worked at several grocery stores, and for the past year worked for Piggly Wiggly Stores. He attended Andrews Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of Service Battery 248, National Guard, of Andrews. Surviving are his father and his stepmother, Mr. William Reid Saxon and Mrs. Bernice Radcliffe Saxon, both of Andrews; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Saxon of Lexington, Ga.; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lila Devonia Swails Elliott of Andrews; four half sisters, Mrs. Viola Thomas (John Lewis) McKenzie, Mrs. Devonia Thomas (Thomas Robert "TR") Moore, Miss Annette Saxon, and Miss Donna Saxon, all of Andrews; two half brothers, Thomas Willard Saxon and Wayne Saxon, both of Andrews.
