Description	:	Irene Anna Dohn, 95, Aberdeen, SD, and formerly of Eureka, SD, died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Bethesda Home in Aberdeen. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Eureka, with Pastor LuCinda Haak leading the service. Interment follows at the Eureka Cemetery. The congregation will sing "Amazing Grace" and In the Garden. Barry and Ronda Lapp will sing My Jesus, I Love Thee and How Great Thou Art. Usher will be James Pfeifle. Irene Anna Rohrbach, daughter of Christina (Klein) and William Rohrbach, was born at Eureka on October 21, 1922. She was raised on the Rohrbach farm 11 miles NW of Eureka and attended rural school. She then worked for her folks. Irene married Edmund Dohn at the Greenway Congregational Church on December 8, 1946. They lived with Irenes folks the first winter after which time they rented a farm east of Venturia, ND. In the fall of 1947 they moved to Edmunds parents farm 2 miles south of Venturia and in the spring of 1948 they moved to a farm 4 miles south of Edmunds parents. Edmund died on February 21, 1965 which prompted Irene and her family to move into Eureka. She took a job in the housekeeping department of the Lutheran Home and later the Avera Eureka Healthcare Center. She retired at age 71 after 27 years and 8 months of employment. Since 2011, Irene had lived in Aberdeen. She was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ. Irene served her church as janitor for 17 years through 2011. Her hobbies included quilting and crocheting. Irene is survived by her sonDuane (Dawn) Dohn of Yankton, SD; her daughter Delores (Bob) Roth of Aberdeen; her brother Harold (Bernice) Rohrbach of Woodbridge, CA; Four grandchildrenCassie Plautz, Kristi Myhre, Stacy Miller and Brian Roth; one step granddaughter, Billie Jo; eight great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and her sister-in-lawVirginia Rohrbach of Lodi, CA. In addition to Edmund, Irene was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers (Art, Emil, Herbert, Edwin, Albert, Alvin, Elmer) and one sister (Emma Knoepfle). Casketbearers will be Dana Myhre and Mike Miller of Aberdeen, Brian Roth of Medina, MN, and Mike Plautz of Yankton. Services are in care of Lien-Straub Funeral Chapel, Eureka.
