Description	:	Irene Clara Busche, 89, Valley City, North Dakota formerly of Litchville, North Dakota died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City after a short illness. Irene Clara Bickett was born February 2, 1921 at Melville, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Lebahn) Bickett. She attended school near Melville. Irene then moved to the Litchville area and was a nanny for Clara Bubach which is when she met Harold Busche. Read More	Irene Clara Busche, 89, Valley City, North Dakota formerly of Litchville, North Dakota died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City after a short illness. Irene Clara Bickett was born February 2, 1921 at Melville, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Lebahn) Bickett. She attended school near Melville. Irene then moved to the Litchville area and was a nanny for Clara Bubach which is when she met Harold Busche. They were united in marriage on October 18, 1941 at the Griswold Parsonage near Litchville. Irene and Harold made their home in Prairie Township, near Litchville. After raising her family, she worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Valley City for several years. They retired from farming in 1971 and moved to Valley City. Irene continued working at Ben Franklin and then worked at the Library for a number of years. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and the Eagle Auxiliary. Irene is survived by two daughters, Carol Busche, Valley City; Jane Publow, West Des Moines, Iowa; three sons, Gerold Busche and Neal Busche both Valley City; and Glen Busche (Cheryl), Salem, Oregon; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Nora Yokumsen, Mahnomen, MN; Leola Pollert, Jamestown, ND; and Violet Boom, Marion, ND, also survive. She was preceded in deaths by her parents, husband, a son, Lyle in 1993, and an infant son, Harold, Jr.; one brother, Merle; and two sisters, Grace Pollert and Mary Scheck.
