Read More	Irene Doyle Nobles, age 83, wife of the late William Victor Nobles, died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at MUSC in Charleston, SC. Mrs. Nobles was born in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late John Wilson and Dorothy Shelley Doyle. She was the Matriarch of her family, enjoying every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Nobles was a devoted worker having worked public jobs since the age of 19. During her 64 years of work, she was employed by AVX, Anvil Manufacturing, Conway Medical Center, and the Dixie Stampede. Mrs. Nobles was an accomplished seamstress; making most of her own and her children's clothing while they were young and was the Costume Designer for the Dixie Stampede. She enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time with her family and dog, Hooch. Survivors include her sons; Johnny William Nobles and his wife, Libby of Denmark, SC, Charlie Nobles and wife, Carolyn of Aynor, Kenny Nobles and wife, Kim of Aynor, Gregory Nobles of Pawleys Island; her daughter, Verna N. Johnson of Galivants Ferry; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and her sister, Ina Squires of Murrells Inlet. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Herrington and Rev. Jane Pearce officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Memorials may be made to Pisgah United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1600 Pisgah Church Rd., Aynor, SC 29511.
