Cathy Ave., formerly of Montrose, died Saturday, July 20, 1996, at Covington Heights Health Care Center. Irene I. Iverson was born June 22, 1908, in Bowdle. As a young girl, she moved with her parents to Montrose, where she attended rural school. She married a George A. Anderson on Nov. 28, 1928, in Flandreau. They lived in Montrose after their marriage. Her husband died March 11, 1946, and she continued to live in Montrose until moving to Sioux Falls, in 1990. She worked in alterations for Louise Dixon and for Fusfilds in Sioux Falls. She had been a resident of Covington Heights Health Care Center since 1994. Survivors include five sons: Myron of Livermore, Calif.; Verlyn and Lyle, both of Sioux Falls; Wayne of Bothel, Wash.; and Earl of Falls City, Wash.; one daughter, Leanne Ward of Renton, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lewis of Wadena, Minn.; and two sisters: Mrs. Ivan (Mabel) Thompson of Hartford; and Mrs. Harley (Verda) Ellsaesser of Hugoton, Kan. Services begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, with burial at 4:30 p.m. at the Montrose City Cemetery. Visitation begins at 8 a.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
