Feb. 22,2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Norway with Father Craig Steimel officiating. Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Norway. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wed. She attended Norway Schools. On June 17, 1941 Irene married Franklin Boddicker at St. Michael’s Church, Norway. She worked at Amana Woolen Mill and drove shuttle transporting Norway elementary school students. Irene also worked during elections in Norway as a register. Irene loved to play Euchre, spoil her grandchildren and she took pride in her beautifully cleaned windows. She was a member of Foresters and volunteered at Colonial Manor nursing home in Amana. Irene is survived by her children, Joyce (Larry) Melsa of Grinnell and Gary (Vicki) Boddicker of Norway; grandchildren, Greg (Andrea) Melsa, Brad (Jennifer) Melsa, Jennifer (Kevin) Stallman, Jamison (Jason) Wendel and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin; son, Roger Boddicker; 2 sisters and a brother. Arrangements are with Brosh Funeral Service of Norway, IA
