Mrs. Lammers, 67, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. The lector for the Mass will be Dennis Lippon. Giftbearers will be Ann Schmitz and Amanda Lippon. Eucharistic ministers will be Velma Nieland and Margie Reiiing, Casketbearers will be Brian O'Connor, Matt Lippon, Tony Schettler, Mark Schettler, Adam Schettler & Mike Klemme. A Christian wake service will be at 7 p.m. Monday followed by another rosary at 7:45 p.m. She was born June 16, 1913, at Roselle, a daughter of Nic J. and Catherine (Bruning) Goetzinger. She spent her younger years in the Roselle community and attended Holy Angels schools. She moved to Colorado where she married Anthony Lammers on May 2, 1938, in Colorado Springs. Following their marriage, the couple lived for a short time in Colorado before moving to Glidden and in 1944 to Auburn. Mrs. Lammers helped with the family business, Auburn Lockers, She was also employed as a waitress and worked at Ocoma Foods in Carroll, Neumayer Locker in Breda and cooked for the congregate meals site in Auburn. She was a member of St. Mary Parish, the parish ladies guild and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading and playing cards. Mrs. Lammers is survived by a son, Noel Lammers and his wife, Linda, of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Diana Schettler and her husband, Norman, of Carroll, and Dori Lippon and her husband, Dennis, of Okoboji; a son-in-law, Darwin O'Connor of Carroll; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin Goetzinger of Carroll, Cletus Goetzinger of Carroll and Vincent Goetzinger and his wife, Maxine, of Roselle; two sisters, Alma B'rineks of Roselle and Dottie Sieve'and her husband, Kenny, of Maple River; and brothers- and sisters-in-law John Guess of; Tuscpn Ariz.,. Herman and Genevieve Lammers of West Union and Mary Lammers of California. Mrs. Lammers was, preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony Lammers, in 1990; a daughter, Donna O'Connor, in 1998; a grandson, Tim O'Connor; three sisters; Marcella Guess, Leota Miller and Rita Birch; and three brothers, Elmer,.Alvin and Walter Goetzinger, the latter in infancy.
