Description	:	Irene Magdalene Jane Kruse, 88, of Nevada, died of congestive heart failure on Aug. 26 at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada. She was born Sept. 11, 1911, to Hans J. and Phoebe (Rohlfs) Peters on the family farm near Ogden. She attended schools in Ogden, where she graduated from Ogden High School in 1929. She married Eldon Kruse on June 6, 1936, at the Zion Lutheran Church Parsonage in Ogden. They farmed near Ogden until they retired and moved to Ogden in 1973. She was born Sept. 11, 1911, to Hans J. and Phoebe (Rohlfs) Peters on the family farm near Ogden. She attended schools in Ogden, where she graduated from Ogden High School in 1929. She married Eldon Kruse on June 6, 1936, at the Zion Lutheran Church Parsonage in Ogden. They farmed near Ogden until they retired and moved to Ogden in 1973. She moved to the Long Term Care facility in Nevada in 1996, and she loved visiting with family and friends and spent many hours embroidering. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (and Melvin) Craven of Nevada and Janet (and Tom) Vaughan of Ogden; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 5, 1975; an infant daughter, Joyce Irene Kurse in 1951; an infant grandson, Michael Vaughan in 1969; two sisters Louise St. Clair in 1985 and Vivian Van Pelt, earlier this year; and a brother, Benny Peters in 1975. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden with the Rev. Stephen Ude officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Ogden. Carson Funeral Home, Ogden, handled arrangements.
