Irene was 93 years of age having been born on August 20, 1916 to John and Margaret (Seyler) Bonifas in rural Roseland, Nebraska. Irene attended Assumption, Nebraska Catholic School. Irene was 93 years of age having been born on August 20, 1916 to John and Margaret (Seyler) Bonifas in rural Roseland, Nebraska. Irene attended Assumption, Nebraska Catholic School. She married Ralph Mangers on January 4, 1939 at Assumption Catholic Church of Assumption, Nebraska. They then moved to Aurora, Illinois and returned to Nebraska in 1942, to a farm near Holstein, Nebraska and then to a farm near Roseland, Nebraska. After Ralph retired from farming they moved to Roseland. Nebraska in 1976. Ralph preceded her in death on August 29, 1994. Irene was a homemaker and raised her family and enjoyed quilting with the church ladies. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Parish Council of Catholic Women, Crosier Apostolate and volunteered at Catholic Social Services and the Senior Center. She moved to the Homestead in September of 2007. Irene Marie Mangers was welcomed into The Heavenly Home by her parents, John and Margaret Bonifas; husband, Ralph Mangers; four sisters, two brothers, daughter, Kathy Consbruck, granddaughter, Katie Leslie and son-in-law Benny Schmidt. Survivors are Daughters & Sons-in-law, Jeanette Schmidt of Hastings, Nebraska; Marcy and Keith Leslie of Dallas, Texas; Carol and Terry Parr of Roseland, Nebraska; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Richard and Linda Mangers of Roseland, Nebraska; Ed & Jeanne Mangers of Juniata, Nebraska; Son-in-law: Myron Consbruck of Hastings, Nebraska and a host of friends and relatives.
