Born in Sanford Nov. 5, 1933, she had spent her lifetime in Gladwin County. She was the Tobacco Township Clerk for 11 years. Mrs. Boyer was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church, church school superintendent and church treasurer. She was a district president of the Women's Christian Temperance Union and a member of the Gladwin County VFW Auxiliary Post 7303. Besides her husband, she is survived by 3 sons, Richard Jr. of Saginaw, Steve of Gladwin and James of Birch Run; 2 daughters, Mrs. Dean (Ruthann) Stoneburner of Coleman and Shelly of Beaverton; her father and step-mother, John and Norma Crowell of Owosso; one brother, Mike of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Pauline Blades of Beaverton; and 3 grandchildren. Services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Dale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Janet Larner officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
