She was born January 13, 1923, in Defiance County's Adams Township, the daughter of Albert F.H.H. and Dorothea E. (Kline) Fedderke. On April 14, 1951, she married John E. Behm, who died September 24, 1985. She worked at Zeller Corporation during World War II and was a sales clerk at Bargain City, Defiance. She was also a farm wife and a member of Zion's Lutheran Church. Surviving are a son, John D. Behm, Defiance; and two godsons, David (Catherine) Fedderke of Adams Township and Douglas (Judith) Fedderke of Adams Township. Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; and a brother, Maynard Fedderke. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009, in Zion Lutheran Church, Defiance, with Rev. Timothy Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance County. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. Friday at Zion's Lutheran Church. Handling arrangements is Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Preferred memorials are to Filling Memorial Home of Mercy in Napoleon or Zion's Lutheran Church. Condolences may be left at www.mastmockhoffman.com. Services for Irene Marie Emma Behm were held Friday, May 8, 2009, in Zion's Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Reynolds and Deacon Audrey Eis officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memory Gardens. Organist was Barbara Stephens. Pallbearers were Gerald Shock, Matthew Fedderke, Douglas Fedderke, David Fedderke, Larry Marckel and Matthew Garrow. Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenge-Schaffer Funeral Home handled arrangements.
