Read More	Obituary from Leonard Muller Funeral Home: Irene Marie Fishel, 94, of Edgewood, Iowa, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. Irene was born January 12, 1919 to Frank and Cecila (Hoefer) Neuhaus in New Vienna, Iowa. She and her parents moved to a farm south of Earlville when she was six weeks old. She attended Plum Creek Country school for four years and then attended St. Joseph's Catholic school in Earlville until she graduated in eighth grade. Irene stayed at home and helped her parents on the farm. On June 19, 1937, Irene was united in marriage to Reynold Tegeler at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Earlville. Two sons were born to this union. Together they farmed at Earlville, Manchester and Greeley. In 1948 they purchased a farm south of Edgewood. Her husband Reynold passed away suddenly on January 31, 1949. Irene continued to farm with her sons. On June 3, 1983, Irene was united in marriage to Robert Fishel at St. Mark's Catholic Church. In the fall of 1990, they moved to their house located in Edgewood. The couple wintered in Ft. Meyers, Florida for 24 years. Irene was a member of Catholic Daughters of St. Mary's church in Manchester, St. Mark's Alter and Rosary Society, and the Edgewood Woman's Club. For several years she was also the secretary of the Delaware County Democratic Central Committee. She was employed at the State Liquor Store in Manchester for 22 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, walking, riding her three wheel bike, playing cards, going to Florida, and happy hour. Irene is survived by her husband, Robert of Edgewood; two sons, Reynold (Alice) Tegeler of Edgewood and Harold (Mary) Tegeler of Edgewood; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reynold Tegeler; her brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Mary Neuhaus; one niece; and one nephew.
