Osterhaus, 70, of Dyersville, will be at 10:30 am Monday at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier, Dyersville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 10 am Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where the Catholic Daughters of America will say the rosary at 4 pm and the parish wake service will be said at 8 pm. Osterhaus, 70, of Dyersville, will be at 10:30 am Monday at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier, Dyersville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Osterhaus was a homemaker and also was a cook at Beckman High School, Dyersville, for the last 21 years. She was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Dyersville, daughter of Henry and Theresia (Ollendieck) Demmer. She died Thursday morning, Aug. 25, 1988, at Mercy Health Center, St. Mary's Unit, Dyersville. She married Clarence "Clay" Osterhaus Jan. 24, 1940, in Dyersville; he died in 1966. She was a member of the Mercy Health Center St. Mary's Unit Auxiliary, Dyersville, and the CDA. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David (Joan) Kramer of Dyersville; seven sons, Tom of Indianapolis, Bill and Gene, both of Dyersville, Allen of Marion, Kansas, Ron of Denver, Jim of Guttenberg and Larry of Jamberoo, Australia; 13 grandchildren; and two brothers, Laurence Demmer of Epworth and Leo Demmer of Peosta. Memorials may be given to Beckman High School.
