Description	:	Irene Pearl Miller age 93, of Russellville, died Thursday, October 27, 2005, at the Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 1, 1912, in Enon, a daughter of James W. and Arvilla Templeton Shikles, both deceased. Pearl was united in marriage to William Truman "Doc" Miller on October 19, 1931, in Tuscumbia, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1989. She attended New Zion School in Enon. Read More	Irene Pearl Miller age 93, of Russellville, died Thursday, October 27, 2005, at the Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 1, 1912, in Enon, a daughter of James W. and Arvilla Templeton Shikles, both deceased. Pearl was united in marriage to William Truman "Doc" Miller on October 19, 1931, in Tuscumbia, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1989. She attended New Zion School in Enon. From 1935 to 1945 Truman and Pearl, co-owned Miller Grocery in Sherman, Texas. In 1945 they returned to Missouri and operated the Enon Dairy Farm until 1957. From 1957 until 1970, they co-owned East End Market in Fulton, with Herschel and Maxine West. They retired to Tucson, Arizona in 1973, where they were active in the Pima Street Baptist Church. In 1990, Pearl moved to Russellville, where she was a faithful member of the Russellville Baptist Church. She is survived by two nieces and eight nephews, Morris Shikles, James Lee Shikles, Norma Jean Proctor, Jack Shikles, Leroy Shikles, Jerry Dawson, Duane Amos, Joyce Bland, Keith West, and Kevin West, also great nieces, and nephews, and many friends. Pearl was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Earl and Freeman Shikles, five sisters, Opal Shikles, Marie Payne, Alice Dawson, Mildred Amos, and Maxine West, three nephews, Junior and Jim Payne, and James Burdette Shikles and one niece, Melba Lee Jenkins. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, at Russellville Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Young officiating. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville. The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to Russellville Baptist Church.
