I have transcribed the obituary as written. --------------- Obituary From The Ottumwa Courier, Monday, March 18, 1996: Irene Veronica Bissell, 78, of New Hampton, formerly of Ottumwa died March 16, 1996, at home. She was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Ottumwa to Joseph and Sarah Guest Brassington. She married William Bissell July 4, 1942, in Ottumwa. She graduated from Ottumwa High School and completed two years of L.P.N. schooling. She worked at Ottumwa Hospital and moved to New Hampton in 1992. She is survived by a sister, Jo Morrison of New Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, John and three sisters, Eleanor Ameling [sic] and Sara and Bessie Brassington. The service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton, the Revs. David Bergstrom and Daniel Vojka officiating. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Conway Funeral Home in New Hampton and one hour prior to services at the church.
