Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at Pioneer Memorial Gardens with Dr. Lindsay Dudley of the Warden Community Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Iris was born March 11, 1916 to the late George Thomas and Clara Jane (Ready) French at Hayes County, Nebr., where she was raised and educated. She married Harvey Crapson on July 15, 1933 at McCook, Nebr., and they made their home in Nebraska before moving to Sunnyside, Wash., in 1939. They moved back to Nebraska in 1940 where they resided until moving to Washington state in 1953. In 1982 they moved to Moses Lake. Harvey passed away June 1, 1984 and Iris has resided in Moses Lake since. She was a member of the Moses Lake Senior Center and enjoyed dancing at the center. She also enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack Crapson of Olympia, Wash., and Larry and LouRhea Crapson of Moses Lake; two daughters and a son-in-law, Irene and Don Wright of Roswell, NM and Marsha Bradshaw of Ritzville, Wash.; five sisters, Billie Linder, Dorothy McNutt, Sally Townsley, Pat Stanton and Gerry Kempkes; seven grandchildren, Phyllis, David, Steven, Catherine, Darlene, Dawn and Bruce; and five great grandchildren, Jennifer, Kyle, Dezarae, Ryan and Sophia. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Tom French, sister Margy Minor and two grandsons, Duane and Loren.
