L. and Fannie Trowbridhge, was born at Harvard, Iowa, Feb.4, 1895. when about ten years of age he moved with his family to Allerton where he finished school. Soon after graduation, he went to work for Miles Bros., in Corydon where he remained unitl July 28, 1917, when he enlisted as a musician in the infantry. He served twenty-three months. On. Soon after graduation, he went to work for Miles Bros., in Corydon where he remained unitl July 28, 1917, when he enlisted as a musician in the infantry. He served twenty-three months. On. August 1, 1919, he began to work for Standard Oil Company and remained with them until February 1939 when illness overtook him. Seventeen years of this time was spent in Davenport, Iowa. He was married to Helen Waterman July 25, 1921, who has been a faithful companion during his years of sickness. In February 1939 they moved to Corydon where they remained until January 1948 when it became necessary to go to the Soldiers home in Marshalltown. While in Allerton he became a member of the Christian church. His membership was later transferred to Davenport where he served as deacon. At the time of his death he was a member of the Corydon Christian church. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Pail was of a happy disposition and numbered his friends by his acquaintances. He was always interested in the welfare of others. His death came unexpectedly Dec. 24, at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 20 days. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Helen, of Marshalltown, two sisters, Lelah of Oskaloosa and Ocie of Loveland, Colo. and an aged uncle C. W. Trowbridge of Seymour, Ind., besides many cousins and friends. Funeral services were held at the Wolf funeral home in Corydon at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27 at the Wolf funeral home. Rev. Kenneth E. Hayden of the Christian church officiated. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ardella Shurburne. Pallbearers were R. L. Stoffer, J. W. Nickles, Clayton Hillyard, C. L. Neely, L. T. Clayton and Gilbert West. Mrs. J. W. Nickles and Mrs. E. M. Snyder were in charge of flowers. Burial was in Allerton cemetery.
