Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Earlie Parrish, and Lillian Ramsey Parrish. She was the widow of David Samuel "Sambo" Pulley. Mrs. Pulley was a life-long member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class, and was a former member of the Women's Ministry, a was a member of the Morning Circle. Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Earlie Parrish, and Lillian Ramsey Parrish. She was the widow of David Samuel "Sambo" Pulley. Mrs. Pulley was a life-long member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class, and was a former member of the Women's Ministry, a was a member of the Morning Circle. She was a former employee of John Umstead Hospital. Surviving is one son, Dwight Pulley (Faye); two grandchildren, Chad Pulley and Shannon Wade (Kevin); one sister, Magdalene P. Coker; three great grandchildren, Ava Rose Wade, Sophie Lee Wade and Eli Samuel Wade; nieces, Rhonda Pulley, Kay Burke, Sandra Liles, Tammy Ross, Jeanette Mullen and Brenda Satterwhite, nephews, William Coker, C.B. Coker and Milton Tart; and a cousin, Elizabeth Ramsey. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene P. Tart and Ella P. Marks and two brothers, George Parrish and Herbert Parrish and a nephew, Ray Tart. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Richardson and the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Entombment services will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. All other times, they will be at the home of Dwight and Faye Pulley. Serving as pallbearers will be Wilson Sawyer, William Coker, Chuck Ramsey, Ludie Creech, David Barnett, and Bill Lloyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Pernell, Morris Batten and Phil Pendergrass. Arrangements are by Sossamon Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.sossamonfuneralhome.com.
