Description	:	Irma L. Goodman, 82, of Wetmore, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at her home in Wetmore. She was born September 10, 1931 at Rulo, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Beulah Zimmerman Bachman. She graduated from Falls City High School in 1949. Irma was a farm wife and raised three sons on the farm. In later years she worked as a waitress at the Dinner Bell Cafe in Wetmore. She was a member of the Wetmore Bible Church, the Auxiliary to Levick-Barrett Post No. 282 of the American Legion at Wetmore, and the Kansas Prairie Pickers Association. Irma married Walter W. She was born September 10, 1931 at Rulo, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Beulah Zimmerman Bachman. She graduated from Falls City High School in 1949. Irma was a farm wife and raised three sons on the farm. In later years she worked as a waitress at the Dinner Bell Cafe in Wetmore. She was a member of the Wetmore Bible Church, the Auxiliary to Levick-Barrett Post No. 282 of the American Legion at Wetmore, and the Kansas Prairie Pickers Association. Irma married Walter W. Goodman on April 24, 1957 near Falls City. He died December 20, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Goodman and his wife Susan, and two brothers, William Bachman and Kenneth Bachman. Survivors include two sons, Roger Goodman and wife Sharon, Springfield, VA, and Mark Goodman, Wetmore; a brother, James Bachman, Lawrence; a sister, Doris Rice, Hiawatha, a cousin who was raised with Irma, Linda Miltner, Jewell, one grandson, Jonathan Goodman and wife Carrie, Topeka, and one great grandson, Colton Goodman. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 6th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Wetmore Cemetery. Irma will lie in state at the funeral home, where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorials are suggested to the Wetmore EMS, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1034, Holton, 66436.
