Description	:	Irma Margaret Harrington Krantz, 105, of Sterling passed away at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 and was the oldest resident that Gold Crest had served. She was born on November 3, 1914 near Sterling. She graduated from Sterling High School and lived in the Sterling area her entire life. She married Roy Krantz on November 23, 1956 in Auburn by Rev. She was born on November 3, 1914 near Sterling. She graduated from Sterling High School and lived in the Sterling area her entire life. She married Roy Krantz on November 23, 1956 in Auburn by Rev. Black. She was a Green Thumb worker at the Museum in Tecumseh for many years and served as a volunteer at the Sterling Depot Diner and Leisure Time Club. She worked for 11 years at the Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh. She loved to travel and was the Sterling contact person for Fun Tours Company out of Lincoln. She was a member of the former United Methodist Church of Sterling. Survivors include two great-nieces, Lucille (Paul) Johnston of Woodbury, MN and Christy (Bill) Boyce of Wamego, KS; five grandchildren, Mary (Douglas) Rohe of Lincoln, Karen (Terry) Farstad of Colorado Springs, CO, Louise (Robert) Sipes of Seneca, KS, Diane (Timothy) Kuhlman of Seneca, KS and Theresa Walter of Kelso, WA; 11 great-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bertha Churchill Harrington; her husband Roy, who died December 18, 1974; one brother, Loyal Harrington; one sister, Opal Eckert; one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Krantz and one niece, Illa May Hall. Private graveside services will be held at the Sterling Cemetery with Pastor Brian Hough officiating. A memorial has been established to the family for future designation. The body will lie in state at the Zink-Fox Funeral Home of Sterling from 12:00 noon to 8:00 P.M. Monday. The family will meet and greet from 12:00 noon to 1:00 P.M. following the social distancing and CDC guidelines. www.foxfuneralhome.net These arrangements are entrusted to the Zink-Fox Funeral Home of Sterling.
