Mrs. Sharp worked as a school teacher for Jasper County rural schools for several years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed tatting, gardening, cooking and taught Sunday School classes. They were members of the Pleasant View Methodist Church and she was active in the WSCS and other church committees. They were longtime members of the Farm Bureau and had farmed until retiring in 1975. Longtime residents of Jasper County and the Kellogg area, Mr. and Mrs. Sharp moved to Iowa City in 1991 to make their home with their daughter.
